'Sims 4'news: New patch introduces new careers, move object cheat, and Christmas-inspired items

The Sims 4 Holiday Celebration Pack thesims.com

"The Sims 4" is ready for the holidays as a new patch containing free updates and special Christmas items was released on Tuesday. It introduces four new additional career paths, as well as new rooms, objects, and interaction rewards.

Both the Athlete and the Business careers are given two new career paths each. The latest Athletic positions are Hall of Famer and Mr. or Ms. Solar System, which could be a career option for body builders, while the Angel Investor and Business Tycoon positions are available for the Business career. Furthermore, all the latest careers are given specific outfits meant for their positions. The outfits are updated once the Sim characters reach a certain level in their careers. There will also be new objects and unique interaction rewards that can be unlocked as the characters advance in their chosen field of work.

Aside from the new career additions, "The Sims 4" also reintroduced the Move Objects cheat that was included in the past "Sims" games. This allows players to make new objects by putting several items together. This can be achieved by typing Ctrl-Shift-C to go to the game's console, then entering "testingcheats true" followed by "bb.moveobjects." Then players should key in Ctrl-Shift-C again to exit the dialog box. If the player wants to turn off the cheat, they should simply repeat all the steps.

Since Christmas is fast approaching, the game developers included a free Holiday Celebration Pack that can be unlocked by going through Origin to launch the game. Players can see the banners located in the main menu of the game. In the Gallery tab, the option to get the Holiday Celebration Pack for "The Sims 4" can also be seen. Users need to click on the option to activate the in-game pop up to add the Holiday Celebration Pack in the shopping cart. Since this option is offered for free, players do not have to provide any payment information to check out.

The holiday-themed pack includes Christmas-inspired sweaters, Christmas trees, as well as other holiday items.
