"Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues," the spiritual successor to the "Ultima" series, is scheduled to leave Early Access and officially release on March 27 for Windows, Mac and Linus via Steam.

The news was announced through a post made in the game's official website. The post also outlined the top 10 priorities of the game developer, Portalarium, headed by Richard "Lord British" Garriott, for the first quarter of 2018 — performance: client performance (FPS) & load time reduction (improve memory framerate, minimize hitching, lower the game's memory footprint and reduce load times of big cities to 15 seconds or less); localization (work on localized websites and tranlated versions of the game then integrate them in the Steam client); launch readiness (ensure the availability of all the proper Customer Support Tools, Network Operations Center escalation/troubleshooting procedures and security audits); physical goods (continue with the production of the physical goods promised during the Kickstarter including the cloth map); improved reward cycle (continue slowly increasing the amount of resources available in the world while carefully monitoring the game balance); clearer player direction (expand the map information improvement and providean option to diable assistive features); new user experience (NUE); story polish; improved enemy behaviors and user interface polish (improve targeting).

The "Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues: is developed and published by Portalarium with the help of Starr Long (original director of "Ultima" online) as executive producer, Chris pears as lead technical designer and Tracy Hickman (author of the beloved "Dragonlance" novels and "Dungeons & Dragons" modules) as lead story designer.

The price of the official release is not yet listed. Its Early Access, however, is retailed at $39.99 on Steam.
