The Gallaghers will feature the sensitive topic of polyamory in their own unique way in the seventh season of "Shameless" this Sunday.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actress Shanola Hampton revealed that the series will show polyamorous relationships in a brand new light.

"Polyamory is being shown in a way that hasn't been shown on television before. It's not Big Love, where the poly aspect was all it's about," the actress stated. She went on to cite the experience that her character, Veronica, had with this concept and how it was not a temporary thing. She mentioned the instance when Veronica had fallen in love with another woman despite being married. Instead of feeling something negative towards her, Veronica's husband accepted this arrangement among the three of them.

Co-star Isidora Goreshter also added in the same interview that the relationship between her character, Svetlana, and Hampton's Veronica evolved during the last six seasons, where she managed to fit in with the Gallagher household, especially with Veronica's husband, Kev (Steve Howey).

Meanwhile, William H. Macy discussed what fans should look forward to when his character, Frank Gallagher, returns for "Shameless" season 7 in an interview with The Huffington Post.

According to the actor, the fans will see how Frank recovered after being tossed off the bridge at the end of season 6 and ended up in a coma.

"And I think they are going to start this season with an underwater ballet. I'm not kidding! I've seen a little bit of it and it's pretty stunning. It's funny and beautiful. It's grotesque, that's what it is ... It's beautiful and ugly at the same time," the actor stated.

On the other hand, Game N Guide revealed that Fiona (Emmy Rossum) will focus on her Patsy's Pies business in the upcoming season.

The premiere episode of "Shameless" season 7 will air on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
