'Shadow Colossus' developer teases a new game in the works

"Ico," "Shadow of the Colossus," and "The Last Guardian" have all been nothing but spectacular, opening many fans' eyes for more than a decade. With the newest title, "The Last Guardian," mostly getting a positive reception, developer genDESIGN may just be working on another new title.

The rumor started because of a new photo placed on the genDESIGN website. At first, it may seem like a normal solid black background with a few birds. However, viewers should continue scrolling down until they reach the end of the page. At the bottom of the long picture is a woman looking up, and fans would know that the woman resembles the company's logo. On the right side is either a hand or a paw, but most think that it is the latter.

While this should not really mean that much, fans cannot help but think that a new game is coming. Considering the large fanbase of the franchise that started with "Ico," its creator, Fumito Ueda may just be hinting at a new fourth title for it. Fans use the paw on the right as their main clue.

Another clue can actually be found behind the website's codes. There is a seemingly out of place text that says "Beauty and the Beast 2018." Although naturally, it would lead one to believe that they are working on that title, it may just be another hint to what they are working on. What makes it only a hint is that the girl on the stone is the beauty while the giant paw on the right is the beast.

Whatever the title or the project may be, fans are sure about one thing and that is the fact that the company is definitely working on a new project. This was suggested last year in November 2017 when they were looking for new team members to help in the development of a new game. Unfortunately, no actual clues were mentioned for a specific game.
