Talks about the sophomore season of "Sense8" began after Netflix announced that it will bring back the sci-fi drama sometime next year. However, details about the plot are still being kept under wraps.

In anticipation of the next season, actor Purab Kohli talked about how the project has changed his life in an interview with The News Hub

Kohli portrays Rajan Rasal, the man who is arranged to marry Kala Dandekar (Tina Desai). Their story centers on Kala's struggle to obey her parents with regard to the tradition of having a daughter marry the man whom the parents think she deserves. She finds it hard to do so after realizing that she is already falling in love with fellow sensate, Berliner Wolfgang Bogdanow (Max Riemelt).

In the interview, Kohli recalled how he almost never got the part after the casting agency told him that he needed to do a re-test because their audition files went missing. Then a month later, he learned that series creators Andy and Lana Wachowski were coming to India to personally meet the shortlisted actors for one final screen test.

The model-turned-actor also said that he was already happy to learn that he would finally meet "The Matrix" creators in the flesh and it didn't matter whether or not he would get the role. Yet he was glad when he found out that he actually made the cut.

When asked about how the storyline of Kala and Rajan will develop in "Sense8" season 2, Kohli said that he has yet to read the script.

"Right now I'm just looking forward to reading the script of Season 2. I'm a selfish actor, so if it were left to me, I would make the whole story centred around Rajan [laughs]," Kholi joked.

Meanwhile, "Sense8" fans would also like to find out if the complicated love triangle between Kala, Rajan, and Wolfgang will continue in season 2 after Kala postponed her wedding to Rajan.

Netflix is expected to release "Sense8" season 2 sometime next year with a stronger cluster between the Sensates as well as several new cast members.
