Funcom, the developer and publisher of the massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Secret World Legends," announced that it will release a new story chapter titled "Dawn of the Morninglight" on April 4.

Andy Benditt, the community manager at "Secret World Legends," announced the news via Steam Community on Mar. 13. Apparently, "Dawn of Morninglight" will take players on a journey to a new location — South Africa.

The upcoming chapter will expand the game's storyline. Players of "Secret World Legends" have traveled with monsters in New England, Egypt and Transylvania. This time they will be battling the secretive cult called Morninglight in the place also known by the term Rainbow Nation. Players will be forced to come out of hiding and spring into action after receiving a mysterious text about Morninglight's leader Philip Marquard's cultist operations known as New Dawn.

Players will be tasked to infiltrate the New Dawn compound. While rising up to Morninglight's ranks, players will experience new, fully voice-acted missions. Just like what they did in the game's previous locations, players will have to fight and defeat horrible monsters inspired by ancient South African folklore and uncover the disquieting truths of the secretive cult.

According to the Steam page of the game, "Secret World Legends" is a story-driven RPG that immerse players into a secret war against the supernatural creatures from ancient myths and legends all over the world. Players are armed with both weapons and superhuman abilities to build their powers, solve obscure mysteries in unique investigation missions and quests as well as battle and destroy the terrifying creatures that cross over into the modern day, threatening the existence of humanity.

"Secret World Legends" is a free-to-play title available on Steam for Microsoft Windows.
