'Scandal' season 6 spoilers: Kerry Washington talks about Olivia Pope's pregnancy rumors

Will fans see Olivia Pope's baby bump in 'Scandal' season 6? ABC

After Kerry Washington announced her pregnancy, fans began to speculate if her character Olivia Pope will also be bearing a child when "Scandal" returns for season 6.

Speaking with E! News during the Sag-Aftra Foundation Golf Classic, the 39-year-old actress addressed the rumors regarding the possibility of seeing the fierce White House crisis manager pregnant.

"As far as I know, we're going to be hiding things. But stay tuned!" Washington said.

During the actress's pregnancy with her first child Isabelle Amarachi while season 3 was in production, the producers of the show decided to hide her baby bump by using props and camera tricks. But they might not have to hide Washington's growing tummy for season 6 since ABC decided to delay the premiere date of the show to midseason.

Meanwhile, executive producer Betsy Beers finally addressed the rumors about Tony Goldwyn's reported departure in the show after his character U.S. President Fitzgerald Grant stepped down from the White House.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Goldwyn will still be an integral part of the show in season 6.

"When Fitz is out of office, I think he could do anything he wanted. I don't want him to move to Vermont and make jam immediately — I'm not a big fan of that — but I think he could become an advocate, a judge, a private eye or join OPA or have his own post-Scandal show where he does anything," the executive producer said. "Spinoff! Fitz could do pretty much anything as far as I'm concerned."

This could mean that the outgoing POTUS will have more time to run after Olivia and revive their romance. But this could further complicate Olivia's love life after she revealed that she still loves Jake Ballard (Scott Foley).

ABC is expected to announce the premiere date of "Scandal" season 6 in the coming days.
