"Scandal" season 4 may not be back for a new episode this week, but it does not mean that the excitement for the upcoming events in Washington D.C. will die down before episode 14 airs next week.

Carter Matt posted the official synopsis for the episode titled "The Lawn Chair," which reads: "A tragedy in D.C. gains national attention and the White House must deal with their problematic VP."

The video teaser for episode 14 was also released by ABC, claiming that fans need to watch out for the "most powerful 'Scandal' episode of the season." But it did not provide further details about the coming installment.

Bellamy Young, the actress who portrays the role of Mellie in the series, teased fans in one of her Twitter posts, saying, "Next week is gonna be EPIC! For realz. Rest up now- it's a BIG ONE!"

What could the tragedy be? Will it again involve Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) who, only recently, gained back her freedom after being held hostage by a group of kidnappers? Or will it involve someone else at the White House? Fans will find out about it in the episode that is set to air on March 5.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reported that "Girls" star Lena Dunham will guest star in an upcoming episode of "Scandal" season 4. According to the article, Dunham has been tapped to portray a role that could have a strong connection with the OPA. However, her character is still under wraps at the moment.

Dunham, a self-confessed fan of Shonda Rhimes' hit political thriller, regularly references Olivia Pope and "Scandal" in some of the episodes of her own TV series. She also gushed about Rhimes in her recent interview with Glamour magazine.

"Shonda has taken over a full freaking day of the week with her addictive programming. She's done it unapologetically. And 'Sandal' has made wine and popcorn seem like a viable, even healthful, meal."

Dunham is set to appear in one of the episodes in March.
