'Scandal' season 4 episode 10 spoilers: Where is Olivia Pope?

Somebody took Olivia Pope!

Thursday's "Scandal" season 4 winter finale kept everyone guessing who the culprit is behind the kidnapping of Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington), and they will have to wait before they find out the answers to all these questions.

The brief family reunion between Olivia and her parents, Maya (Khandi Alexander) and Eli (Joe Morton) was seen during the heart-stopping episode 9. As expected, her encounter with her estranged father did not go well, and she even threatened to shoot him. But when he found out that the gun was not loaded, Papa Pope became even angrier and cut ties with her completely. Would this be enough reason for Eli to have his daughter kidnapped?

Maya, on the other hand, also have her own troubles. President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) forced her to reveal where Eli was hiding, but she never cooperated. Will the president ever track down Eli's hiding place?

But now that Olivia is also missing, can Fitz find out who took her away? Will the two love birds finally find a way to be together again after everything that happened and is continuously happening between them, including Jake's (Scott Foley) presence in her life?

Actor Tony Goldwyn talked about Fitz and Olivia's future in the show during a recent interview with TV Guide.

When asked if he thinks that Fitz will do anything, even declare a war against his will, just to save Olivia from her kidnappers, Goldwyn said, "Of course. I do believe it. I don't know if anyone else does, but I do. He would never give up on the fantasy; that's what keeps him alive. He is absolutely resolute in his certainty that if they're given that chance, they would have a great, healthy relationship. He may live in a fantasy world, but he truly believes that he and Olivia are the answer for one another no matter what."

Was it really Vice President Andrew Nichols (Jon Tenney) who kidnapped Olivia so that the president would have no other choice but to declare the war that he had been planning all along, or is another group responsible for her disappearance?

The answers to these questions will only be given light once "Scandal" season 4 returns on TV on Jan. 29, 2015.
