One of Samsung's highlights at the currently ongoing CES 2015 event is the launching of their newest TV line powered by Tizen.

According to reports, Samsung will reveal the first product line of TVs that will be equipped with the latest Tizen software during the company's scheduled press conference at the International Consumer Electronics Show this week. The press conference will also show how the reported TV products can control other smart home devices life refrigerators, washing machines, as well as vacuum cleaners.

The South Korean company, led and owned by the Lee family, will try to reinvent their brand as one of the main sources of Internet-connected home appliances to get a significant share of the emerging market that will reportedly be worth US$7.1 trillion by the year 2020.

Samsung is planning to get a large sale from offering Tizen applications and services, in the same way that rival companies like Google and Apple Inc. do using their own operating systems. The move from smartphones to big-screen television sets is the latest challenge of the South Korean consumer and electronics manufacturing company to Google software, since they are planning to make a mark in the emerging smart homes market.

This is the company's way of compensating after falling behind schedule for a year for the release of its Tizen-based smartphones.

According to a South Korean Daishin Securities Co. analyst Claire Kim, "In smartphones, there's no chance that Samsung's Tizen can edge out the two dominant operating systems. But in TVs, Samsung may have a chance."

Samsung's first attempt to launch Tizen technology still has a lot to prove. It's initial plan to launch a Samsung smartphone that runs using the Tizen operating system is a year behind the earlier schedule. But the smart wristwatches packed with Tizen operating system called the Samsung Gear 2 and Samsung Gear 2 Neo are now compatible with most of the Galaxy phone lines of the brand.
