Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors: Galaxy S6 Edge launch with flagship phone?

Will the soon-to-be released Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge look exactly like the Galaxy Note Edge? Samsung Galaxy website

Even before rumors about the alleged Samsung Galaxy S6 have had the chance to settle, word is already spreading that the South Korean tech and consumer company will also release another Galaxy S6 version that has an edged screen.

Based on the report posted on SamMobile, Samsung will launch two new flagship products under its Samsung Galaxy S line next year. The first one will be the Samsung Galaxy S6, while the other one will be called the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

Although there are no details available for the supposed Galaxy S6 Edge at the moment, there are speculations that the future flagship phone will come with a curved screen just like what the limited-edition Galaxy Note Edge has. The phone will allegedly feature a bent screen at one of the phone's edges.

The South Korean company mentioned that they will keep on releasing smartphone devices with curved display screens so that they can have an edge over other mobile phone manufacturers. But since the new curved designs is still in its early stage, analysts are saying that Samsung will only create limited supply of the so-called Galaxy S6 Edge in tested markets but at a larger volume compared to the recently released Galaxy Note Edge.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will reportedly come with Quad HD display that has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The devices will also be equipped with 64-bit Exynos chipset as well as Snapdragon 810 chipset options. The two future flagship devices from Samsung will also feature a 16-megapixel camera or an even better 20-megapixel primary shooter as well as a 5-megapixel or a higher 8-megapixel secondary front-facing camera for better selfie shots. The phones will also come in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants.

According to reports, there are no exact dates when the two new mobile phones will be released to the public, but there are predictions that it will happen in the second quarter of 2015.
