Samsung will not be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus, at least in the U.K., and will just launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 in the region, according to Tech Radar.
This is Samsung's way of making it up to users there for skipping a U.K. release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which the South Korea-based tech firm realized was "a mistake." The source of the information is "a source high up at one of the U.K.'s major networks."
It remains unclear if the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus will be scrapped for good, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is guaranteed to see the light of day soon. The source says an August 2016 release is being considered.
Phablet fans are in for a big treat with the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. According to reports, Samsung is bringing out the big guns for the making of the Galaxy Note 5 sequel.
The Note flagship is rumored to come with a 5.8-inch RGB AMOLED display with a killer 4K resolution. With such grand display, the Galaxy Note 6 is expected to pack a 4,000 mAh or 5,000 mAh battery unit.
Under the hood will reportedly be a 16-core processor and 6GB RAM (although 4GB versions will allegedly be offered, too). It will purportedly offer expandable 128GB storage.
This massive set of specs caters to Samsung's alleged vision of making the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 some sort of a laptop hybrid and a portable device with the power of a computer.
The phablet is said to come with a 12MP rear-facing shooter with Super Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Timeless Photo or Vivid Photo Technology, which functions like Apple's Live Photos feature, allowing users to capture 1.5 seconds of video. On the front will be an 8MP selfie snapper.
Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is also rumored to have Android N pre-installed. To top it all off, these specs are rumored to be housed in an all-new design, which can be considered a departure from what Note users are used to.
