Samsung has recently confirmed the arrival of its latest upper mid-range smartphones in the Galaxy A lineup this 2018. After the Galaxy A8 and A8+ launch in January, the South Korean tech giant has announced the Galaxy A6 and A6+, which are going to boast some high-end specs and features like those found in Samsung's Galaxy S series. For one, the Galaxy A6 and A6+ will sport high-definition Super AMOLED display.
As reported by Tech Radar, Samsung revealed that its latest Galaxy A6 2018 smartphone will sport a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED panel, mimicking the top-tier display technology that is already employed in the recent Galaxy S models. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A6+ will sport a slightly larger 6-inch display.
Another highlight of the Samsung Galaxy A6+ 2018 is the dual-lens rear camera setup, which is similar with the A8+ camera module. The dual lens combo of the A6+ smartphone consists of a 16-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensors. Meanwhile, the regular Galaxy A6 2018 variant will have a single-lens 16-megapixel primary camera.
Samsung also revealed that the latest Galaxy A6 and A6+ smartphones are perfect for high-quality selfie shots with its powerful front-facing snappers, which are powered by a 16-megapixel and a 2-megapixel selfie cameras, respectively. Even without the dual camera technology, the Galaxy A6 2018 front camera is still expected to deliver satisfying results. In fact, it was noted that the new Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ are the mid-range handsets focused on camera quality.
Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy A6 2018 is powered by Exynos 7870 processor, while the Galaxy A6+ will receive Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. There are two RAM and internal storage options available for the A6 and A6+, which are 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage variants.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ 2018 will be available in Black, Gold, Blue and Lavender color variants. As for the price, the Galaxy A6 will be sold in the market for €309, or equivalent to USD $368, while the Galaxy A6+ is priced at €359 or USD $423. There is no word yet regarding the smartphones' launch in the US market this year.
