Kristen Stewart has opened up about her relationship with Robert Pattinson, which began at the peak of the popularity of the "Twilight" saga, where they played lovers Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.
Speaking with the T Magazine for the New York Times, Stewart, who is very happy with her relationship with visual-effects producer Alicia Cargile, spoke the truth about her and Pattinson's romance.
"People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn't real life anymore. And that was gross to me," Stewart said.
"It's not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I'm doing in my life. It's that I don't want to become a part of a story for entertainment value," she went on to say.
"Twilight" enjoyed immense popularity and so did the stars of the vampire romance and drama. Fans were so passionate about the characters Stewart and Pattinson played.
Stewart said that she likes to expose herself in the "rawest, purest, most naked way" she could and the relationship with Pattinson definitely impeded that.
Pattinson is yet to speak up about this revelation, but he already talked about his relationship with Stewart when it ended two years back in an Esquire interview.
Speaking about Stewart and the cheating that happened, he said "It's just young people...it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s---?"
Pattinson has now moved on and is happy with his relationship with singer FKA Twigs while Stewart could not be any more contented being in love with Cargile.
Last month, Stewart told Elle Magazine about how dating a girl changed her ways in talking about her personal life. "It opened my life up and I'm so much happier," she said.
She reiterated this during her T Magazine interview, where she said that she is now more open to talking about her relationships, but she is still careful as to what to reveal and to whom.
"I still want to protect my personal life, but I don't want to seem like I'm protecting the idea, so that does sort of feel like I owe something to people," Stewart said.
