'Revenge' season 5 renewed or cancelled after season 4 finale?

Emily Thorne reveals that she is the real Amanda Clark in Revenge Season 4. Wikipedia

Is Emily Thorne's (Emily VanCamp) confession that she is really the missing Amanda Clarke an indication that "Revenge" will not return for another season?

Emily finally revealed her long-running secret to the public, as she confessed that she is actually the long-lost daughter of David Clarke (James Tupper). She was very careful in keeping her cover for the last three seasons, but she recently divulged her true identity in the episode titled "Exposure." Does this mean that Emily/ Amanda's revenge in the Hamptons is finally over?

ABC is still mum about the renewal of the show, and the teaser for the last four episodes of "Revenge" season 4 hints that the series might be ending soon.

When TV Line's resident spoiler was asked about "Revenge's" future, the online columnist said that several sources told him that if ABC will still order a fifth season for the series, then it would feature a major story revamp during its return. It will possibly feature a brand new storyline altogether.

Some fans were also alarmed to see Emily hanging out with former "Everwood" co-star Tom Amandes early this month. The "Revenge" star tweeted a photo of her and Amandes while she is wearing a prison garb inside a courtroom. Does this mean that an Everwood reunion will be happening soon?

Showrunner Sunil Nayar talked about the photo in the interview with TV Line, saying, "I know that it appears Amanda Clarke is in prison garb in a courtroom, but in regards to this show, it really means nothing. It could mean she's been arrested, or it could mean she's undercover, or it could mean she's pulling a play on someone."

"Revenge" was one of the highest rated TV drama during its first season, but it is now failing to rake in enough numbers to keep it afloat the ratings game. It's not going to be surprising if the show doesn't get renewed for a fifth season.
