Although "Red Dead Redemption 2" has already been announced to arrive this fall of 2017, Rockstar Games has yet to officially announce its release date. However, if recent reports are to be believed, the highly anticipated game may hit the stores this September.

It was in October last year when Rockstar Games revealed "Red Dead Redemption 2" and announced that it was going to arrive in fall this year. Since then, the studio has not released any official update on when the game is exactly coming out.

However, it is now suspected that "Red Dead Redemption 2" may arrive in September, or a month earlier than what many thought to be its release month, October. Speculations on "Red Dead Redemption 2" arriving in September stemmed from the report of Great Falls Tribune last week wherein film crew were spotted filming at a belfry in a church on the northeastern Montana prairie, featuring a man fighting another man.

"This is a sequel to an existing global franchise," revealed Los Angeles-based Producer Jeff Guillot to Great Falls Tribune.

Guillot further revealed that the said shoot is for a backstory of a video game that exists in a fictional location and is slated for a September release.

While it remains unknown whether the said location shoot is, indeed, for "Red Dead Redemption 2," rumors now claim that it is, and that the shots filmed at the northeastern Montana prairie is for the live-action trailer of the highly anticipated game sequel. Reportedly, the said live-action trailer will be used to announce the release date of "Red Dead Redemption 2."

On the other hand, some sources are skeptical whether the said shoot is really for "Red Dead Redemption 2." Skeptics believe that it is likely that the game in reference in the report of Great Falls Tribune is "Far Cry 5" by Ubisoft. After all, Rockstar Games is not known for creating live-action trailers, unlike Ubisoft.

Whether "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have a live-action trailer or not, what matters more to fans is that it will, indeed, come out in September.

Or, will it?

Only Rockstar has the answer for now.
