It seems like Bravo is trying to find ways to make the casting roster of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" more interesting after NeNe Leakes, one of its most popular stars, decided to quit the show. According to reports, Bravo will add a transgender woman in season 8.

A source told Variety that transgender model Amiyah Scott will join Bravo's highest rated "Real Housewives" reality show when it returns next season.

According to the source, Scott was seen early this week hanging out with the rest of the cast members of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" during an event that was filmed for the show's upcoming season. However, the duration of Scott's participation in the show is still unclear.

The source shared that Bravo has yet to decide the casting status of the 27-year-old model. She could either be a full-time cast member, a recurring "friend of a housewife," or just appear in a cameo role. Her stint during Monday's filming is her first in the reality show.

If the cable network chooses to sign up the Manhattan-born New Orleans native, she could be Leakes' replacement after the most talked-about cast member announced that she will not be joining "RHOA's" eighth season.

But Leakes will not be missed by her fans on the small screen, since she was recently confirmed to join Betty White and other celebrity panelists in ABC's upcoming revival of the classic game show "To Tell the Truth." She is also set to appear in BET's popular "Real Housewives" spoof called "Real Husbands of Hollywood" which stars comedian Kevin Hart.

Aside from Scott, TMZ also revealed that "Facts of Life" star Kim Fields will join the rumored "RHOA" season 8 cast. Other rumored additions to the long-running reality series include returning "RHOA" stars Sheree Whitfield, who is already reported to be filming some of her scenes for the series, and Marlo Hampton, one of Leakes' past frienemies.

Bravo has yet to announce the release date of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 8.
