Two years after its release, "Rainbow Six Siege" has been rolling out updates from time to time. With its season 4 update coming in a few days, a new character was revealed, and she appears to be a hacker.

The reveal was unintentional and came in the form of a blog post on the "Rainbow Six Siege" website, according to PC Gamer. Curious fans would no longer be able to see the post as it has since then been taken down by the admins. However, a Reddit user was able to take a screenshot of the post before it got taken down. The user was also able to copy most of the contents from the original post and posted it on Reddit along with the screenshot.

Unfortunately, the post was not able to reveal much. It did say that this new character is a hacker that goes by the name Grace "Dokkaebi" Nam. The post gave a detailed introduction to her background story. Although her abilities were not revealed yet, her story already gives a lot of clues as to what they may be.

As a hacker, the obvious first impression would be that she would be able to get into other character's gadgets and possibly use them for herself. The game's meta today includes the Jäger and the Bandit because of their turrets and traps respectively. Having a hacker kind of character offers more counter-play being possibly able to hack into the ADS turrets of the Jäger or the Bandit's batteries. If not, they could probably control the surveillance cameras in the game's maps if allowed.

With every new character being introduced with new kinds of weapons or traps, introducing an entirely new character that can tamper with their weapons is a smart move by the game's developers. It is also quite fitting for the season 4 update being Korean-themed. Dokkaebi herself is a Korean. According to VG247, her story says that she is from Korea's famous 707th Mission Battalion, also known as the "White Tigers."

Nothing else is known for now. Fans can check more about the hacker this weekend during the Pro League Finals by watching live via twitch.tv/rainbow6 on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m. PST and on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. PST.
