Apart from familiar faces that fans came to know and love, "Prison Break" season 5 will introduce more characters to love (or hate). Writers of the series took to Twitter to tease on what to expect about the newcomers.

"We have two new major female characters and a few smaller roles," the writing team teased. They added that there are "bunches" of new characters to look forward to.

It was also revealed during the Twitter Q & A session that an official release date for "Prison Break" season 5 hasn't been designated yet, apart from the announcement that it will air on Tuesdays in "spring 2017."

"It's up to Fox, so they'll be the ones to announce it," the writers said. They added that the filming is quickly winding into a close, with only one week left in filming "Prison Break" season 5.

Although that's the case, it looks like scenes of C-note (Rockmond Dunbar) are already done. He posted a photo announcing the milestone, and teasing that fans will enjoy "Prison Break" season 5.

In another photo from the set of "Prison Break" season 5, it was teased that C-Note's daughter Dede (Helena Klevorn) will be in the limited series and is now all grown up. The image elicited insane excitement from fans mainly because of the idea of seeing Dede as a young woman now and the fact that they will work together in "Prison Break" season 5.

Meanwhile, those who are wondering how much of T-Bag (Robert Knepper) fans will get to watch in "Prison Break" season 5, the writers assured that he will be in "several" episodes.

In fact, there will be an episode in "Prison Break" season 5 titled "T-Bag for President." If anything, this excitement-inducing title suggests that he will be getting a lot of screen time in this installment.

"Prison Break" season 5 will follows Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) as he returns from the grave after being recruited to work on a terrorist organization in Yemen.
