Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) must overcome with his biggest challenge yet on the upcoming episode of "Prison Break" season 5.

Titled "The Prisoner's Dilemma," next week's episode will reveal more about Michael (Wentworth Miller) and how he was able to survive. According to the official synopsis, T-Bag (Rockmond Dunbar) meets up with Kellerman (Paul Adelstein) to get further details on Michael's unexpected resurrection. Meanwhile, Lincoln is up against the clock as he tries to help with the big escape. Ja (Rick Yune), Whip (Augustus Prew) and Michael make their final attempt to escape from Ogygia but before they could execute their plans, they must first make a deal with the devil.

Tuesday's episode saw Michael's plan to break out of the Yemeni prison go terribly wrong. As a fatal consequence, one of his cellmates died. Michael was then thrown into solitary confinement as punishment for his attempt to flee. While Michael suffered behind bars, his brother Lincoln saved Sheba, a local Yemeni fixer and activist. Lincoln got to her just in time, saving her from being raped by season 5's newest villain, Cyclops (Amin El Gamal).

Series creator Paul T. Scheuring recently caught up with Entertainment Tonight and he teased that the unsuccessful prison escape will take a toll on Michael in the upcoming episode. His huge failure will eventually lead to a new level of desperation as the story moves forward.

"We wanted to create a ticking clock," Scheuring explained. "At once, you have to get out of prison, but you better do it fast because the radicals are coming and they're going to take over the country and they're going to butcher you if you're still in this prison. And so, you've got the devil on your heels and if you don't get out, you're basically dead. We wanted to set that up early because I didn't want the entire season to be about breaking out of prison."

The fifth season of "Prison Break" airs every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. EDT on FOX.
