New lives, new loves?

Aside from their careers, it seems like more changes happened in the lives of the Liars during the five years that they were apart. But how will "Pretty Little Liars" fans react when they find out that one of their favorite couples in the series did not end up together?

Based on the new trailer for the winter premiere of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6, Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) did not end up together even if they both left Rosewood at the same time. The trailer shows Hanna showing off her engagement ring to the other Liars during their reunion in their hometown. But the ring did not came from Caleb because she is seen kissing another man in the promo video.

Benson talked about the big change in Hanna's life in a recent interview with TVLine. According to the actress, the new chapter provides a "cool" twist in the series. But Hanna's new relationship does not stop her from seeing Caleb again, since Rosewood's former bad boy appears frequently in the new trailer.

Meanwhile, the lovers of the other Liars are also featured in the promo clip, including Spencer's (Troian Bellisario) Toby (Keegan Allen), Aria's (Lucy Hale) Ezra (Ian Harding), and Emily's (Shay Mitchell) latest love Sara (Dre Davis). However, it seems like all them have complicated relationship status when "Pretty Little Liars" season 6B returns next year.

Meanwhile, the threats and dangers will consistently haunt them even while they were miles away from Rosewood and the original "A" CeCe Drake is already behind bars.

Executive producer Marlene King talked about the new dangers in an interview with MTV News, saying, "This Big Bad has an agenda, and it's to find out why this person passes away — and to seek revenge on the person responsible." But unlike CeCe who terrorized the girls with her creepy surprises, King said that the villain is more ruthless and unforgiving. "And it will not stop until that person pays, and [the Big Bad] will kill people to get that answer," she shared.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6B premiere episode airs on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
