Raticate became the latest creature who will have an Alola form in Nintendo's upcoming "Pokémon Sun and Moon" video game.

Since the new "Pokémon" video game will take place in the tropical Alola region, the appearance and ability of some of the original "Pokémon" characters will transform to suit the typography of the popular resort destination. These transformations are known as the Alola forms.

Raticate was announced to have its own Alola form during the trailer released by Nintendo on Sept. 6. The Alolan Raticate will appear heavier compared to its original form since he only eats the freshest fruits and the best quality ingredients due to his stellar taste buds. According to the description on Serebii, there are rumors claiming that a popular restaurant is using the Alolan Raticate to taste test their new dishes.

Other Pokémons that will be released in Alola forms include the Alolan Rattata who will come with the Gluttony or Hustle ability, the Alolan Raichu that will have the Surge Surfer ability, the Alolan Marowak that has the Cursed Body or Lightning Rod ability, the Alolan Meowth that comes with the Pickup or Technician ability, the Alolan Exeggutor that has the Frisk ability, the Alolan Ninetales that is equipped with the Snow Cloak ability, the Alolan Vulpix, the Alolan Sandslash as well as the Alolan Sandshrew which also has the Snow Cloak ability.

The latest "Pokémon Sun and Moon" trailer also revealed that the events of both games are only 12 hours apart where the events in "Pokémon Sun" happens during the day while the events in "Pokémon Moon" are held during the night. The trailer also mentioned that some of the events play out differently between the two games.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18 in most parts of the world, while the European market will get the game on Nov. 23.
