Paris Jackson shoots down Zac Efron dating rumors

Paris Jackson is making it clear that she's not dating Zac Efron.

Dating rumors about the two celebrities have been swirling around ever since Efron publicly apologized to Jackson for breaking her heart when she was just a teenager. Jackson was a guest at "The Tonight Show" when she talked about the time she went to see "High School Musical Live" years ago. The King of Pop's daughter admitted she was "heartbroken" when she went to her first concert after realizing that Efron's Troy Bolton was not in the show since he was filming a movie during the tour.

After learning about the story, Efron recently invited Jackson to the premiere of his latest film "Baywatch" to make up for what happened. The actor's friendly gesture eventually sparked dating rumors between him and the 19-year-old.

OK Magazine wrote a story about the pair and their lengthy night together, claiming that Jackson and Efron went bowling, had pizza and bonded until 4 a.m. the next day. Apparently, there is nothing going on between them. The alleged date never happened, but the report led one of Jackson's friends to ask her about it.

During a text conversation, a friend named Derek sent Jackson a photo of the tabloid's cover with the headline: "Zac & Paris: Inside Their Secret Date!" He went on to tease her and said, "You didn't tell me you had a new guy!!" The actress/model just laughed at the report and fired back, "Lmao shut up. I've never even met him." Jackson posted the exchange in her Instagram Story to set the record straight and confirm that all the dating rumors are false.

Efron's upcoming film "Baywatch" hits theaters on May 26, while Jackson's most recent acting project was a guesting on FOX's "Star."
