While the second season of Starz's "Outlander" is still underway, several companion items for the TV series will be released in the coming days.

The International Business Times recently reported that a new set of trading cards based on "Outlander" season 1 will be released by the end of November.

Based on the description posted on Cardboard Connection, the soon-to-be-released 2015 Cryptozoic Outlander Season 1 trading cards will focus on the legendary tale of history, love, and war that transcends time, based on the stories written by Diana Gabaldon.

The base set will feature the first 16 episodes of the widely popular series, complete with photos and story highlights. The box of 2015 Cryptozoic Outlander Season 1 trading cards will be released with special autographed content as well as several pieces of special Wardrobe cards featuring several show-used costumes. These items are randomly inserted in the card packs, but the card manufacturer has not released any information regarding which cast members lent their signature for the cards.

The estimated release date of the boxes of these highly collectible items, which contain five cards per pack, will be on Nov. 11. Those who want to buy more packs can opt to purchase the box containing 24 packs around the said date.

Meanwhile, Gabaldon previously released a new book that will help viewers understand each episode of the series. The book, titled "The Outlandish Companion Volume One," will center on the full chronology of the series. It will also provide a guide to several important titles from the first season of the critically acclaimed TV adaptation of Gabaldon's books with the same name, including "The Fiery Cross," "An Echo in the Bone," as well as "Written in My Own Heart's Blood."

Gabaldon also revealed several behind-the-scene information about the cast who portray the characters in the series.

"Outlander" season 2 is slated to come out in 2016.
