Capcom, the developer of the "Devil May Cry" franchise created by Hideki Kamiya, announced that Twitch Prime members can get the first game of the upcoming "Devil May Care HD Collection" for free.

Capcom has released a new trailer on Feb. 13 for the "Devil May Cry HD Collection" that will release on March 13 for the personal computer (PC), PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One both digitally and at retail stores for $29.99. On the same day, Capcom announced on its blog that Twitch Prime members (also known as Amazon Prime subscribers who have linked their membership to their Twitch account) will be able to play the original "Devil May Cry" PC version for free on Feb. 27 (ahead of the collection release date) through the Twitch Desktop App. Moreover, Twitch Prime members may also buy the full collection on the same date. Twitch Prime members may avail of this offers by logging in to their Twitch Prime accounts on Feb. 27. For those who do not have Twitch Prime accounts, Capcom is also offering a free trial for those who will sign up.

"Devil May Cry HD Collection" includes the remastered versions of the first three games of the series, all of which are running at 60 frames per second (fps). The original "Devil May Cry" was launched in 2001 for PlayStation 2. It was supposed to be a sequel to the "Resident Evil" series but was not seen as fit for the franchise. In the game, players take on the role of Dante, a demon hunter whose brother and mother were killed by demons. He will be working together with Trish, who warned him about the demon emperor Mundus.
