'Orange Is the New Black' season 4 premiere date, spoilers: Crazy Eyes and Taystee use iPhone behind bars

 Netflix

Did Litchfield Penitentiary start allowing the use of iPhones behind bars?  When "Orange Is the New Black"  returns to Netflix for season 4, some inmates will be seen using an iPhone.

In the new promo video from the online streaming service provider, Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) and Taystee (Danielle Brooks) discover an iPhone left on one of the beds at the prison facility. Both of them are surprised to see a smartphone inside Litchfield, but Crazy Eyes says that someone might have left the iPhone to communicate with them from the outside.

Taystee then presses the device and the two start conversing with iPhone's virtual assistant Siri. The two ask Siri questions, which earn hilarious replies. A prison guard almost catches them.

The clip does not provide any details regarding the plot of "Orange Is the New Black" season 4. Netflix released it to promote their newest tie-up with Apple Inc., which brings the streaming service to iOS-powered devices. This means that Netflix subscribers can start using their iPhones and iPads to watch shows like "OITNB."

Meanwhile, more casting rumors for "Orange Is the New Black" season 4 are being reported online.

One of the most recent reports claims that Laura Prepon will reprise her character Alex Vause next season.

Fans are wondering what happened to Alex after her former drug boss Kubra Balik (Eyas Younis) ordered Aydin (Juri Henley-Cohn) to assault her in prison. Others were worried that Alex might not survive Aydin's attack. However, an Instagram update from the actress revealed that Alex is alive and well and she will return next season.

Meanwhile, the rumored guest appearance of Caitlyn Jenner in season 4 turns out to be a hoax. In a statement published by MoviePilot, "OITNB" star Laverne Cox denied the rumors that she invited Jenner to join the show. "I have no idea about it, but I think that's pretty out there. I'm pretty sure that's not true. I'm not involved in casting of our show, but it is really funny the rumours... it's pretty ridiculous sometimes," the actress who portrays the role of Sophia Burset in the series stated.

"Orange Is the New Black" season 4 production is currently underway.
