Oprah Winfrey did not recognize Leonardo DiCaprio at Ellen DeGeneres' 60th birthday event

It may be hard to believe, but Oprah Winfrey, the worldwide phenom, host, and recent honoree of the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 2018 Golden Globes admits that she hardly has any celebrity friends. During a guesting on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, Winfrey relates that after attending DeGeneres' 60th birthday bash, she can conclude that it was the most fun she has ever had in her entire life.

Why? Because finally, Winfrey found herself mingling and relaxing with fellow celebrities away from the spotlight. This might be unreal, as a guest seat on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" was one of the most coveted spots in all of Hollywood television. The show that ran from September 1986 to May 2011 had almost all the biggest names in showbiz on it as guests, so it was very peculiar for Winfrey to tell DeGeneres that she does not actually recognize celebrities by face.

"Who is it? I know it's somebody," Winfrey says on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show.  "Is it Justin Timberlake? I don't think it's Justin Timberlake. The Weeknd says to him, 'Hey man, I really loved that film you did.' And he says, 'No, that wasn't a good film for me, it wasn't my favorite film.' And I go, 'So what WAS your favorite film?' And he says, 'The Aviator.' And I go, 'Leonardo, you're so funny!'"

DeGeneres found it hard to believe as well, and even countered Winfrey's statements by saying that her previous party last year was also fun with her friend Bruno Mars taking over the turntable. Winfrey suggests that she was not invited, but Ellen insisted that she was. This caused Winfrey to say that she will "never miss another one."

Winfrey confessed to being a homebody as well, with "sitting by the fireplace" as her ideal way to spend a night. But during the celebrity-studded bash, Winfrey found herself dancing along to the music, drinking to her heart's content, and more importantly, she "talked to people." She happily tells Ellen that now that she has met so many celebrities at the party, she finally has their numbers and can text with them regularly.

Winfrey will be seen back on the big screen on "A Wrinkle in Time," which is set to premiere on Mar. 9 in theaters.

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
