The OnePlus 6 is among the phones to watch out for this year if the latest benchmark leak is to be believed. The preliminary AnTuTu score of the handset suggests it is going to be more powerful than heavyweights like Samsung Galaxy S9.

According to Android Central, OnePlus 6 had an overall score of 276,510, outdoing not just the company's previous flagship, OnePlus 5T, which only earned 212,558; but also the previous champion, Xiaomi's Mi Mix 2S, which came in at 273,741. Among the components that contributed to its high score is its CPU and it could be due to the inclusion of Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845.

Assuming the benchmark leak is accurate, patrons can expect OnePlus 6 to be faster than the Samsung Galaxy S9 and even the iPhone X. The former device which also sports Snapdragon 845 clocked-in at 241,470 in the AnTuTu test while Apple's 10th anniversary iPhone scored 226,000.

Of course, benchmark scores are not indicative of any handset's real-world performance which is based on several factors. So, these alone are not recommended to be the sole basis of a purchase, although it does hint at the sheer power the handset possesses.

At this point, all there is to OnePlus 6 are speculations. Per The Inquirer, the device will reportedly sport an iPhone X-esque notch, bezel-less screen, and 19:9 aspect ratio. A glass design with wireless charging support, dual-lens rear-facing camera, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Face unlock are expected as well.

Internal-wise, it should come with 6 gigabytes of RAM, 64 GB internal storage, and Android 8.1 Oreo.

OnePlus has yet to give the flagship an official release date. However, CEO Pete Lau revealed at this year's Consumer's Electronic Show that OnePlus 6 will be launched sometime "late Q2 2018," with June the most popular prediction. As for its pricing, it is expected to cost the same ballpark as 2017's OnePlus 5T, starting around $500.
