OnePlus 5 might offer state-of-the art flagship features for half the price when it launches.

The upcoming flagship device from China-based smartphone company OnePlus is currently making a lot of buzz online. Expected to arrive this summer, the OnePlus 5 will reportedly have high-tech features for a much lower price compared to its popular rivals.

BGR notes that the OnePlus 5 was recently spotted over on AnTuTu, one of the most popular benchmark applications for Android devices. The listing confirms that the flagship phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor as it runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It will offer 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, perfect for storing files and high-resolution images captured by its 16-megapixel rear camera and impressive 16-megapixel front camera. The new smartphone will have a full high-definition (HD) display (1920 x 1080 resolution) as well.

In addition, new mockups and renders have been released recently to give consumers a glimpse of the OnePlus 5. Gadgets 360 points out that the leaked images show the smartphone's dual camera setup on the back in both horizontal and vertical orientations. Photos of the camera setup in vertical orientation appear similar to the previously released renders. However, those with horizontal orientations hint that the OnePlus 5 will have a few design similarities with its predecessor, the OnePlus 3T.

Reports claim that the new phone will carry the company's famed 5.5-inch screen size but with some improvements in the screen's resolution. Although the benchmark claims it will have a full HD display, other outlets believe it would be tweaked to a quad-HD resolution. Unfortunately, the OnePlus 5 will not offer an almost bezel-less display comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S8's Infinity screen. If the leaked images are to be believed, the upcoming handset will have bigger top and bottom bezels instead.

The OnePlus 5 is scheduled to be unveiled this summer.
