There is still no official announcement as to when "One Punch Man" season 2 will arrive, but rumors and speculations on what the anime series will offer when it returns continue to surface online. Among the many unconfirmed reports attached to the series, though, one that has persisted for months already is the rumor saying that Saitama will face Lord Boros anew.

Beyond the shadow of doubt, "One Punch Man" season 2 is one of the most anticipated anime series for 2017. Since the announcement of the anime's second season back in September last year, its exact release date remains unknown, though.

While it remains unclear as to when "One Punch Man" season 2 will arrive, rumors about it continue to sprout online. In fact, way before the anime's second season was announced, there had already been a lot of talks on how its story will possibly pan out, including the one saying that the bald superhero will find himself challenging Lord Boros anew.

As of this writing, rumors about "One Punch Man" season 2 featuring Saitama and Lord Boros finding themselves in a new showdown of force continue to circulate online. To the uninitiated, Saitama already defeated Lord Boros in the season 1 finale of the anime series. However, as the villain has the ability to regenerate, it is alleged that he will return in the second season of "One Punch Man" and avenge his defeat to Saitama in the first season finale.

In fact, some rumors even claim that Saitama will experience his first defeat in the series in its upcoming season 2, and that he will taste this defeat in the hands of Lord Boros. Nonetheless, other sources claim that it will be Garou who will deliver Saitama's first ever loss as he is the only one who can stand his powerful and iconic one punch.

Will Lord Boros return and defeat Saitama in the upcoming season 2 of "One Punch Man"? Such can only be confirmed when the series begins airing, who knows exactly when.
