For cartoons, anime, or any kind of television series to be made into a game is definitely not something new. Cartoon Network's previously announced that their own "OK KO: Let's Be Heroes" will be made into a game with almost the same title. Recently, they have given a trailer for the game and a release date to boot.

The game will pretty much try to be like the cartoon series in that it will have a retro-style. The story of the game goes that the series' villain, Lord Boxmore, has created a device that reset everyone's level back to 0. This means that everyone in Lakewood Plaza will be a lot weaker than usual.

Players, who play as KO, the aspiring hero, will have to find ways to get back their levels to their normal values. For someone who does not exactly have super powers, this may be a hard task. Beating enemies up would not be a solo quest, however, as the players can unlock other characters' Powie Zowie by doing them favors.

Simply put, the Powie Zowie are cards that KO can use during battles. Once used, the characters whose Powie Zowie KO has unlocked will help in beating up the enemies for a while. The trailer shows this with Enid, Rad, Drupe, Beardo, Mr. Gar, and several others.

For those who have not watched the series yet, the "OK KO: Let's Play Heroes" series is about a seemingly powerless KO. He lives in Lakewood Plaza where everyone is a superhero. He works in a convenience store, which makes him well-acquainted with the different heroes in town.

The game, on the other hand, will be coming out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As the trailer mentions, it will be released on Jan. 23, 2018. No news has been reported if it will be coming out on the Nintendo Switch.
