HP Slate 7 VoiceTab is one of the first tablets released this year, and it seems to be more accepted compared to its 2013 predecessor, the HP Slate 7. But could this tablet still be marketable once Nokia's first tablet product, the Nokia N1, comes out in 2015?
Nokia has sold its smartphone manufacturing facility to Microsoft earlier this year, but that hasn't stopped the Finland-based tech manufacturer from producing other products. Currently, the company is focusing its resources to creating decent tablets that could cater to the needs of users.
So which is better, the older HP Slate 7 VoiceTab or the soon-to-be released Nokia N1? Here is a detailed comparison between the two tablet devices:
Screen and Body Measurements
The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab with dual-sim slots has a 7.0-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen featuring an 800 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is 9.5 mm thick and weighs 11.46 ounces.
Meanwhile, the upcoming tablet from Nokia comes with a 7.9-inch screen display as well as 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution. It measures 7.90 x 5.46 x 0.27 inches and weighs 11.22 ounces.
Internal features
The earlier released tablet from HP is equipped with Marvell PXA1088 chipset and quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. It has an internal memory of 16 GB with 1 GB RAM, and it has a microSD slot that can accommodate up to 32 GB memory. It runs using the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
On the other hand, the upcoming Android 5.0 Lollipop-running tablet from Nokia features an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset with quad-core 2.3 GHz processor and PowerVR G6430 GPU. It has a built-in 32 GB internal memory with 2 GB RAM, but it does not have a microSD slot.

HP Slate 7 VoiceTab comes with a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and autofocus features, and it has a 2-megapixel secondary camera in front.
The N1 will also comes with two shooters. The first one is the 8-megapixel primary camera with autofocus capacity, while the second one is a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
