Fantasy role-playing game, "Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom" has been delayed for the second time. Originally slated for a January 2018 release, the game was pushed back to March 2018 instead.

Fans are upset about the delay, but Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the decision was made to further develop the game. The announcement was made on Dec. 13 and was uploaded to the "Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom" official Facebook page.

The announcement began with the game's brand new release date — stating that it would be playable on both PC and PlayStation 4 on March 23, 2018. The announcement then went on to explain that the game's development is going great. The developers are also thrilled for its release. However, the developers needed more time to produce a quality game.

The announcement on their facebook page stated, "However, with innovation and new ideas come the need to ensure everything will work together in a fun and cohesive package — this means we will need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom experience meets Level -5 and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.'s high-quality standards."

The team also urged its fans and followers to extend their patience and thanked them for their support. While some were not too happy with the news, most of the comments on the announcement came from the fans that understood the circumstance. Some even thanked the developers and commented that a wait would be perfectly fine if it meant the finished game would be a high-quality one instead of an unfinished product.

In "Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom," players will play the character of a young king, Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum. Usurped from his castle, Evan is out on a quest to regain not only his position as king but his home as well.

Similar to "Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch" players will control the protagonist and their party. However, Revenant Kingdom did away with some of the old battle mechanics — choosing to replace summons with allies called Higgledies.

Those curious about the new battle mechanics can watch the nine-minute gameplay video on IGN's YouTube channel.
