Popular Cartoon Network series "Adventure Time" has been made into different games for different platforms. None of them, however, would be as big as the next game, which is coming out for all the modern platforms next year.

"Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion" is going to be an open-world adventure game. As the name already implies, fans and gamers will see Finn, Jake, Marceline, and BMO become pirates. Players will get to control all of them as they set sail to the other "islands" in the Land of Ooo where they will presumably be able to unlock other characters as their new recruits for the crew.

Apparently, following a great flood, various other islands appeared, allowing Finn and his friends to roam and collect members. Although not much else is known about the flood or about the game itself, Bandai Namco, the game's publisher, says that the game would feature an entirely new plot. No episode from the series will then be able to spoil the game's storyline.

The new "Adventure Time" game will feature different kinds of combat, hero skills and abilities, and of course, the characters' usual lines from the show. There are even special abilities that gamers can unlock for each character. Developer Outright Games is reportedly in its later stages of the game's development. That said, the company is having a competition for people who want to name Finn and Jake's ship.

There are screenshots and other details provided by the game's official website. According to the website, the voices of the characters in the game will also be voiced by the original cast of the television series.

The game is set to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Although there is no exact date as to when it will be released, the closest that Bandai Namco mentions is within Spring of 2018.
