This year has certainly seen its fair share of amazing remastered titles dropping to popular consoles currently available, but the nostalgia-inducing handiwork is not seeing any slowdown as of yet.

Another highly acclaimed title from Bioware's roster of formidable past games is getting a new lease on life in the form of "Neverwinter Nights" -- an RPG title originally released back in 2002.

According to Beamdog's announcement, the third-person role-player will see a modern reiteration set for a release on the PC platformer courtesy of Steam this March 27.

The confirmation, which took place during a live streaming event, details that players who have pre-purchased the game will have exclusive access to early versions of the remastered edition. The same individuals will also be first in line to receive patches after the new version launches.

In terms of what is new in the enhanced version, the studio revealed that they have plans to incorporate new content in-game, adding to the game's original storyline. However, as of present time, they are still thinking of a way to accomplish this task.

On top of the PC release, developers expressed their interest in porting the game to Nintendo's Switch, albeit no formal plans have been made officially. The company adds that they are not ruling out the option as this particular venture is something that appeals to them.

Feature-wise, the enhanced edition will support 4K resolution and various new graphic settings for players to choose from. Aside from this, highly requested tweaks to the official game will make an appearance in this new version.

This remaster will come packaged with all past expansion packs and premium modules. These modules will then be the format of new patches or add-ons that the developers will release after the launch, which Beamdog notes will be compatible with user-made modules.

Interested users can now pre-order the game through Beamdog's official store.
