'NCIS: LA' season 7 spoilers, plot rumors: Sam and Jada encounters yet to end; team to finally find the agency's mole?

"NCIS: LA" season 7 will be taking a two-week break before it airs a new episode. But when it does return, fans will be in for an exciting episode, considering the action and the drama that took place in the previous episode called "Revenge Deferred."

LL COOL J as Sam Hanna and Chris O'Donnell as G. Callen in "NCIS: LA" season 7 CBS

In the last episode, Sam and Callen flew to Africa initially to put warlord Thomas Karume and Tahir to justice. The two successfully eluded the African Standby Force, which is why the involvement of the NCIS was necessitated.

However, in their pursuit of Karume and Tahir, Sam and Callen realized that Jada is also hanging around the criminals' territory, which meant that her life was on the line and this time, she would have to accept their help. This also meant that Sam can finally put her to safety once and for all.

For a refresher, the Jada storyline was last dealt with in the eighth episode of "NCIS: LA" season 7 titled "The Long Goodbye," where the team sought to help her after being ambushed despite her effort to give them the impression that she is not a damsel in distress.

After a cat and mouse chase, Sam and Callen captured Tahir and Karume, who turned out to purposely be seized by the duo so as to kill them instead and altogether eliminate the obstructions in their evil plans. Sam dodged this deadly bullet by rushing to rescue Jada from the Sudan Army.

Successfully pulling Jada out of harm's way, Sam learned about Jada being engaged and now genuinely happy. She clarified that Sam is no longer responsible for saving her. While Sam and Jada got some closure, it looks like they will be seeing each other soon still.

From the looks of it, things are going to be more intense with Karume and Tahir still running free. At the moment, there are virtually no details about the next "NCIS: LA" season 7 episode except that it is titled "Exchange Rate."

"NCIS: LA" season 7 episode 18 "Exchange Rate" will air March 14 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
