With Michael Weatherly no longer on "NCIS" starting season 14, Wilmer Valderrama will help in filling the gap left by the fan-favorite actor.

The "That '70s Show" alum will play the role of a yet-to-be-named series regular character who was, as per the description picked up by Variety, "once grounded NCIS field agent who accepted a deep-cover assignment years ago and never resurfaced."

When he appears in "NCIS" season 14, his dedication to his job and country "has left him an unpredictable, charismatic loose cannon."

It remains to be seen how he will affect the squad or who he will connect with or immediately butt heads with among the group, but it seems like there will be a lot to learn about Valderrama's character in "NCIS" season 14.

"Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents in this classic 'NCIS' role," executive producer Gary Glasberg told Variety.

"Fans are going to see him like they've never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We're thrilled he's coming aboard," he went on to say.

Upon the announcement of his big "NCIS" season 14 gig, Valderrama tweeted that he is "thrilled" to be part of the family and urged fans to "expect the unexpected."

In an interview with E! News, the "Minority Report" alum once again expressed his excitement

It will be interesting to see his dynamic with the group and how he will come across to them especially Gibbs (Mark Harmon), who may be looking for someone that could fill in Agent Tony DiNozzo's shoes.

Apart from Valderrama, "NCIS" season 14 will also see more of FBI Special Agent Tess Moore (Sarah Clarke) and MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry), who both debuted in the season 13 finale.

It is believed they will be series regulars come "NCIS" season 14 and that they will shake up the office like never before.

"NCIS" season 14 premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 on CBS.
