'NCIS' season 14 cast news: Details about one of the newbies replacing Tony DiNozzo revealed

Michael Weatherly's Agent DiNozzo will be replaced by two new agents. CBS

With Michael Weatherly leaving "NCIS," CBS is now in search of not one but two new cast members to fill the void. New details about one of these characters who will be mainstays in "NCIS" season 14 have just emerged.

The newbie is named Clayton, a "loud, opinionated, often disrespectful, sarcastic, short-tempered and chauvinistic" MI-6 Intel agent who sports an overflowing, hard-to-ignore physical confidence and swagger.

Currently in his 20s or 30s, the "NCIS" season 14 newcomer is described as "offbeat and fun" but has issues he chooses not to confront. He is known to have severed his connection to everyone he knew in the intelligence.

The connection he does not seem to get over with is the one he has with his son. He rarely sees his little boy because back in the day, he chose the country's protection over his personal life. Presumably missing his son, Clayton became very fond of children.

Another intriguing detail about the new "NCIS" season 14 addition is that he "wants the world to believe he doesn't give a damn, but the truth is he cares more than most."

CBS is looking for someone of British of African descent that has both the brains and the brawn to essay the character in "NCIS" season 14.

Clayton will be introduced in the "NCIS" season 13 finale, the same episode fans will see the last of Agent Tony DiNozzo. In the same episode, the new female cast member named Tess will also make her debut.

Tess is described as "quick-witted, sarcastic [and] shrewd." She is a three-time divorcee because she thinks none of her former husbands can keep up with her. CBS depicts her as "two parts bulldog, one part sweet kitten" but is the "Mamma Bear" in the office.

"NCIS" season 13 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
