Expect to see more drama when "NCIS"season 13 returns after a two-week hiatus.

Based on the synopsis for the episode titled "Spinning Wheel," Ducky Mallard (David McCallum) will revisit a painful past after being attacked by a man who claimed that he was keeping a vital information about his half-brother who died several years ago.

The synopsis reveals that the rest of the team will dig deeper into the attack and investigate further how Ducky's brother really died. Ducky will reportedly get more emotional as he looks back on the last moments that they shared before his brother passed away.

Meanwhile, Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) will deal with the end of her marriage with Jake Malloy (Jamie Bamber) after learning about his infidelity.

After spending her Thanksgiving holiday with her own family in Oklahoma in the previous episode, Ellie will return to Washington to start facing her new life alone after the divorce. But she will not be the only one affected by Jake's affair with one of his NSA colleagues, since her team will also feel sad about it.

Wickersham previously talked about Ellie's fate after the divorce in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. According to the actress, there will be a lot of new changes coming to Ellie's life in the next episodes of "NCIS" season 13.

"It's a big life change, going through a divorce, and that doesn't just affect Bishop in her relationship. It definitely affects her work, everything in her life," Wickersham said. "I'm sure it'll take her to some dark places, maybe, and I'm sure we'll see her working through things, which is always fun for me to play."

The actress also teased that more exciting plots are coming for Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), as well as Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman) and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray).

"NCIS" season 13 episode 11 airs Tuesday, Dec. 15, on CBS.
