After announcing the release of "NBA 2K16" last week, game company 2K Sports revealed Tuesday that those who will pre-order the game will get several added bonuses.

For their "Early Tip-Off Weekend" promo, the 17th installment in the "NBA 2K" basketball game series is made available for pre-order in different retail stores and online shops. Those who choose to avail the promo will receive a lot of perks, including early access to the game compared to those who will purchase it during the regular selling period.

One of the perks of ordering the new "NBA 2K16" early is the opportunity to play the game four days prior to the official release date. It means that the players who purchase it as early as today can enjoy the new professional basketball video game starting Sept. 25 instead of Sept. 29.

Early birds will also get a bonus 10,000 Virtual Currency (VC) for in-game purchases, as well as the MyTEAM VIP Package that includes three MyTEAM Emerald Packs each for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC players with a guaranteed Emerald player, as well as MyTEAM Gold Booster Pack for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 console owners with guaranteed Gold player plus four additional Gold items.

The new "NBA 2K16" announcement was made last week during 2K Sports' earnings call. The game developer has yet to announce the details of the title including all the changes and improvements they have made from the last installment of the official video game of the NBA.

IGN reported that "NBA 2K16" will come in three different covers featuring NBA 2015 MVP Stephen Curry from Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant, and Houston Rocket's James Harden.  Film director Spike Lee is also allegedly involved in developing the MyCareer mode of the new game.

"NBA 2K16" is said carry a price tag of $60 across all platforms, according to GottaBeMobile.
