More drama will explode in the next episode of "Nashville" season 4, especially when it involves Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna (Connie Britton).

In the promo clip for the episode, titled "Didn't Expect It to Go Down This Way," Juliette's emotions flares up when she sees Avery (Jonathan Jackson) perform onstage with Layla (Aubrey Peeples). This could be a bad sign, since Juliette just recently recovered from post-partum depression and she does not need another drama in her life at the moment. But is she really jealous of the blossoming connection between her ex-husband and Layla?

Meanwhile, Rayna and Deacon (Charles Esten) will have a major family meltdown when they realize that their daughter Maddie (Lennon Stella) ran away from home. She was furious when her father literally stopped her from playing in a bar. This could stop Rayna from pushing through with her tour so they can find their missing daughter.

Elsewhere, Luke (Will Chase) will face a huge problem after Riff (Steve Kazee) decides to take off and leave his job and his family behind without any explanation. This means that Highway 65 will need another artist to join the tour.

At the moment, the only artist available is Juliette. But will she take the slot knowing that she will have to tour with Avery and Layla? This could cause more trouble for Luke, since Juliette is known for being transparent with her emotions.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"Rayna and Deacon will be very distraught when Maddie runs away from home, and Juliette is going to get threatened by Avery's connection to Layla. Luke will be forced to find a new artist when Riff disappears, and Autumn will end up driving a wedge between Gunnar and Scarlett."

"Nashville" season 4 episode 16 airs Wednesday, April 20, on ABC.
