Another big name is coming in the next episode of "Nashville" season 3.

In her Twitter account, pop superstar Christina Aguilera posted her picture as she preps up for her guest appearance in the hit country musical drama.

Spoilers claim that Aguilera will portray the role of pop singer Jade St. John who will stage a two-night event at the Bridgestone Arena. Jade's career in the pop world has been going strong for the last decade, but her heart is set in the country music scene all along.

Jade will try to shift gears from pop to country, but her record label will not allow her to. Also, Juliette Barnes (Hayden Penettiere) is reported to make Jade's quest in the country music industry to be extra difficult.

However, things will not be all that hard for Jade. She might have a little fun with Luke Wheeler (Will Chase). This could mean that Jade will have a love interest in the series.

"I am excited to try something different, as I do think in life, and in music, experience just adds to the creative process," The Voice judge said in an interview with Billboard. "We haven't started shooting, I actually leave for Nashville next week. But I can say my character is a successful pop singer who desperately wants to move into the country world, as that is her true passion. But she is caught between her passion and what the label wants her to do."

"Nashville" is the first scripted television drama that Aguilera signed up for. She appeared in several movies in the past, such as the 2010 film "Burlesque" and "Get Him to the Greek."

The country musical series is currently on hiatus, but it will air the "Nashville: On the Record" special on March 25, before the series resumes on April 1.
