Juliette (Hayden Penettiere) decided to leave Highway 65 Records in the third season finale of "Nashville," so Rayna (Connie Britton) must look for a new act to help revive her struggling music label in season 4.

It seems Rayna finally spots her next big star, but early on, she already has problems with the new artist's diva attitude.

TVLine reported that "Nashville" will introduce a new character named Markus Kane when the show returns next season. According to the report, Markus is a 20- to 40-year-old artist who is looking for a new label to present him as a solo act after making it big with a group worldwide.

Markus reportedly knows that he is in demand, and a lot of music labels want to sign him. But he decides to take Highway 65's offer because Rayna promises that they will stay true to his musical core and avoid dealing with all the unnecessary stuff in the music industry.

Things run smoothly for both camps at first, until the new artist realizes that the success of his first solo album will be greatly beneficial for Highway 65's own success. Marcus becomes controlling and narcissistic, and Rayna's patience is tested throughout the development of his first album under her company.

Meanwhile, the writing pool of ABC's country musical drama recently revealed that Will (Chris Carmack) is going to have some "juicy" stories in "Nashville" season 4.

Things will be a lot interesting for Will next season, especially after he publicly declared that he is a gay man. Although the aspiring country singer does not regret his decision to come out, he will still face a lot of challenges as the repercussion of his decision.

Luke (Will Chase) hires a media consultant named Gabriella to help Will's career after his brave admission. But even if Gabriella and Luke have no problems with Will's personality, she makes him realize that country music fans may not support him after learning that he is homosexual.

ABC has yet to announce who will portray the roles of Markus and Gabriella in the series.

"Nashville" season 4 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 26, on ABC.
