 Bandai Namco

As it turns out, not only can new generation characters Boruto and Sarada can take on younger versions of their parents Naruto and Sasuke in "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" characters can team up with them as well.

As revealed in a scan of the latest Weekly Shonen Jump magazine issue, the adult versions of Naruto and Sasuke as seen in the aforementioned film released in Japan back in August last year will be released as DLC characters in the upcoming fighting game.

"Through DLC and first print bonuses, the dream parent-child two-man teams are realized!" a portion of the magazine, which will be published tomorrow, Jan. 18, read, as quoted by iDigital Times.

This means that a DLC with the Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki and Adult Sasuke Uchiha will be released for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" after its launch next month. A specific date is yet to be revealed though.

The said team-up, however, can only be achieved by those who pre-ordered "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4." As previously announced, Boruto and Sarada come as pre-order bonuses. Bandai Namco is yet to mention an alternative in which the characters can be obtained.

In addition to Boruto and Sarada, players who pre-order the final installment of the popular fighting franchise will also snag "The Last: Naruto the Movie" costumes of Hinata, Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke as well as Hokage Kakashi's attire.

In three weeks' time, "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be released. Developer CyberConect2 and publisher Bandai Namco have been doing their best to sustain the hype with a steady flow of gameplay footages.

This time, the latest promo they put out features behind-the-scenes clips during the game's development. The game studio's president and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama appears in the video along with other developers.

"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be out Feb. 4 in Japan, Feb. 5 in Europe and Feb. 9 in North America.
