'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' gameplay guide: Make the most of the Story Mode goodies, Substitution Jutsu and more

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Bandai Namco

It's only been a week since "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" was released, but there are already all sorts of tricks and tips to be had to make the most out of the final iteration of the beloved Naruto game series.

To get a feel of the whole thing, it is recommended for players to try out the title's Story Mode first. As opposed to Free Battle, the Story Mode will help players learn the basics of the game while enjoying a good "Naruto" narrative.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" endows players with awards every time they get a certain object done in the said mode. These awards come in the form of accessories, weapons and the like. The best thing about this is that players can swap these goodies for alternate ninja costumes.

There are also tricks to winning battles in the title. The secret to dominating an opponent, even the tough ones, is keeping the chakra raging. Keep this important element high by charging it instantly after performing a move strong enough to knock the opponent out.

Another "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" gameplay secret involves the Substitution Jutsu. Before an enemy could pounce, hit the L2 button on the console controller to transport all the way to the back of the opponent, allowing for attacks and leverage.

This will also be the perfect moment to perform a secret technique, which, for the uninitiated, is the strongest type of damage a player can inflict on an opponent. It is so strong that it takes at least two life bars to perform.

For gamers to ensure victory in "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," they should use their secret techniques wisely since enemies have the abilities to dodge them. It is best to perform the abovementioned trick or at least bombard the enemy first, making him too overwhelmed to duck.

"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" was released on Feb. 4 in Japan, Feb. 5 in Europe and Feb. 9 in North America. DLC for the game will be released soon.
