They will do their own combo cancelling and when this happens, players can call in for support and while they are doing the damage, players can do their ultimate jutsus. Similarly when in combo cancelling, call in support again to keep the combo so when they are done, the next thing they will get hit with is the ultimate jutsus.
Finally, when playing online, always adapt to the enemy. This is a trick that is most common in any fighting game. The key to victory is understanding the enemy.
