'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' DLC news: developer teases 'Road to Boruto' gameplay content

Bandai Namco revealed that new adventures await fans upon the release of the upcoming expansion pack of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4."

At the Twitch stage of the 2016 New York Comic-Con, Nick O'Leary from Bandai Namco Entertainment teased the included content of the upcoming "Road to Boruto" DLC for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4."

According to O'Leary, a new adventure mode will be introduced in the upcoming DLC. The senior PR specialist of the game studio also hinted that players will be introduced to several new characters as well.

The game studio also showcased a demo video of the upcoming DLC, showing a fight between Sasuke Uchiha and an unidentified man. Sasuke's opponent might be one of the new characters mentioned by O'Leary in the interview.

Also, the interview revealed that the upcoming "Road to Boruto" will show that the end of the video game is interconnected with the future of the "Naruto: Shippuden" anime series. This could mean that the players can have a glimpse of the end of the anime at the last part of the game.

The "Road to Boruto" DLC of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be the last expansion that will be released for the game, according to a Bandai Namco representative who had a chat with Polygon during the Tokyo Game Show 2016 in September.

"We've been developing the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series for 15 years since the first one," the representative stated, and added: "In total, the series has sold 15 million copies. Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has sold two million worldwide. This one is going to be the last one in the series, so we've poured all our efforts into it."

The "Road to Boruto" expansion pack of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC editions starting Feb. 3, 2017.
