The full trailer for "Narcos" season 2 has been unveiled.

Netflix officially dropped the two-minute trailer for the sophomore season of the bio series more than a month before its release.

Based on the trailer, the new season will begin exactly where season 1 end, where the infamous Colombian drug cartel leader Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) was seen breaking out of prison. The authorities were bent on capturing the biggest illegal drug provider in the U.S. during that time.

"Okay let me break it down for you: 4,000 soldiers, tens of thousands of rounds fired, and a bunch of f****** helicopters — there was no way Pablo Escobar was getting out of this one... right?" DEA Agent Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook) says in the trailer. But Murphy is proven wrong, since Escobar easily passes by a group of soldiers who are looking for him in the Colombian forest.

Those who have followed the life of the Escobar know that his time is almost up, since he was shot to death 15 months after he escaped Medellin's La Catedral prison.

Producer Eric Newman said in an interview with Slash Film early this year that Escobar's death is imminent in the upcoming season.

"He will die. The design of the show is we told 15 years of history in season one. At the point of Escobar's escape which is the summer of 1992, Escobar has 18 months to live. That's not something we can change. To stretch that out beyond another season would be disingenuous of us. That story was always designed to have an ending," Newman said.

The second season of "Narcos" will also see the return of Pedro Pascal as DEA Agent Javier Pena and police chief Horacio Carrillo (Maurice Compte) when the series returns on Sunday, Sept. 2.
