It is perfectly okay to be confused with "Mr. Robot," with the folks giving life to the hacker series pleading guilty of being baffled by the show's twists and turns.

During the Vulture Festival, several cast members of "Mr. Robot" admitted that they suffer that same stupefaction as they attempt to make sense of the storylines on the show.

For starters, Portia Doubleday, who plays the protagonist's childhood friend Angela, revealed via Huffington Post that "Sometimes I have to Wikipedia our own show to figure out [what's going on]."

In fact, Doubleday teased that "Mr. Robot" season 2 will have those moments where viewers will really find themselves confounded by the goings-on.

"This season, there are a couple things where I'm like, 'Wait, when did that happen?' I actually had to research it and figure it out as opposed to [knowing] what episode was that in," the actress said.

Carly Chaikin, who plays Darlene on the award-winning series, also remarked that "Mr. Robot" is definitely more than what it seems.

The star said that she had moments where she thought she knows what's going to happen next and have her mind blown when she gets the script.

Although things could get extremely confusing sometimes in "Mr. Robot," (season 2 won't be any different), it all comes down to show creator and writer Sam Esmail.

"He does get it and there is a reason for each and every thing we end up doing and saying. He's thought it all the way through," Christian Slater, who plays the titular character, said of Esmail.

"Mr. Robot" season 2 will delve deeper into the convoluted mind of protagonist Elliot (Rami Malek) and will follow up on the aftermath of the hacking of the Evil Corp.

"Mr. Robot" season 2 premieres July 13 on USA Network. Fans can catch up on the show via Amazon Video, which is streaming the award-winning first season starting next month.
