"Mortal Kombat X" creator Ed Boon is back at teasing DLC for the fighting game. On Twitter, where he usually posts cryptic messages that puzzle and intrigue fans, he teased a possible launch of Kombat Pack 3.

Boon created a poll for "Mortal Kombat" fans asking them what they want to see next. The choices included "Mortal Kombat 11," a "Shaolin Monks" sequel and a Kombat Pack 3.

The fans have spoken and chose a "Mortal Kombat X" DLC, with Kombat Pack 3 garnering 44 percent of the votes. This proved that gamers still want to see the fighting game develop.

"Mortal Kombat X" was released April last year. So far, it has received only a couple of expansion packs. The latest was released last March. It added Leatherface from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," Xenomorph from the cult-favorite sci-fi franchise "Alien," a new character named Tri-Borg and Bo-Rai Cho from "Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance."

Of course, this poll may not necessarily equate to the materialization or release of the most favored preference. If anything, it suggested that Boon and NetherRealms are not done with "Mortal Kombat X" and has plans to make it bigger.

However, if Boon will indeed base his next project on the result of the poll, "Mortal Kombat X" players could look forward to Kombat Pack 3. Of course, it will be an all new mystery and guessing game to know who will make up the roster.

The poll, which generated more than 10,000 votes, also put "Shaolin Monks" closely behind Kombat Pack 3. The 31 percent of the fans chose for Boon to make a follow-up to the adventure beat-em-up fighting video game, which was first released a little over a decade ago.

The fans' greater yearning for a Kombat Pack 3 than the sequel to the 2005 hit shows their massive love for "Mortal Kombat X." Whether or not Boon will play genie and fulfill fans' wishes, this is a mystery that only time will tell for now.
